Travel Insurance for expensive items

Hi all,
I'm looking at getting an annual travel insurance policy. The ones listed on this sites travel insurance search tool seem to only cover a max of £300. I'd like cover for a laptop and my wifes jewelery, so something around 750-1000 of cover for those items would make us feel more comfortable.
Any recommendations?
Cheers,
Pete

I had a similar request a few months back.
The best one I could get was American Express travel insurance.
Personal baggage £2500 (max of £750 for any one item or valuables in total)
Money £750(cash £250)
Not much better, but it was the best I could come up with after hunting around.
Someone told me that you would be able to get better if you went to a specialist underwriter who tailored your requirements, but in the end I just stuck with that.
I think it is about the best off the peg soloution.
However, let me know if you come up with anything better, as I would be interested for when I renew.0 -
stuff like jewellery is not common on travel insurance policies because it's usually covered by your home contents insurance - where you can have high value single articles covered away from the home - ie while youre on holiday. check with your home insurance provider...
HTH.if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0
