Does anyone know of any good pub/clubs to go to in Omagh (Tyrone) on a Saturday night and are there any cheap hotels/guest houses that can be booked for the night within the town?
Thanks.
Thanks.

A few spring to mind.
Nightclubs: Utopia, The Vault.
Bars/Pubs: Silverbirch, Hogs head, Brogans, Bar Ten - depends what you're going for.
Only hotel in the town that I can think of is the Silverbirch hotel or out of the town the Mellon Country Inn0 -
Thanks for that, I was checking through the web site for the Silver Birch and its a little expensive at £65 per head for one night, are there any guest houses more competitively priced?0

Our firm designed Utopia & they seem pretty good with Promotional nights etc... I'd say check their website for details0

I honestly don't know, never had reason to stay there0

Pubs and nightclubs in Omagh - there areplenty depending on your age group.
If you hit the town centre - John Street - you're close to most of them.
McCanns - John St - small irishy pub - ok to start the night off - can seem packed if there are more than a dozen people in;)
The Terrace - further along the street - quite nice - variety of ages - have sports on TV - sometimes live music Sat night - have a veranda out back fo smokers with tables and chairs.
Hogs Head - at the bottom of Castle Street is usually lively with all age groups - usually live music downstairs - plus free nightclub upstairs DJ playing Saturday nights.
Dalys - near courthouse - ok - also have free nightclub upstairs with DJ or sometimes live music.
The Vault nightclub in the back market off Bridge St - nice enough - free b4 11pm I think.
Then there's the mishmash of other pubs you could chance a look in - Gallaghers/Brodericks tend to be for an older generation and are quiet.
McGurks (beside Lidl) is also nice - music, pool tables, good smoking area out back.
The Silverbirch hotel is the only main hotel in the town and can be pricey - The Mellon Country hotel is a fair whack out of town - would be a pricey taxi ride.
There used to be a B&B pretty central to the town on The Tamlaght Road - 3 minutes from McGurks bar - forget the name but I'll check it out later when I drive past - that ould be ideal for walking to town. there's another one about 20 minutes walk from centre out by Mullaghmore - will check it out also and get back to you. Failing that - I know a girl who used to just let out rooms on a nightly basis for B&B - will check if she still does - she lives about 10-15 walk from centre.;)

Superb feedback, thanks very much I presume all the B&B's listed at the bottom of your post are within walking distance of Omagh town centre?
I think I'll pass on the girl however.

Shaz77, sorry for delaying so late, I honestly don't have any experience of guest houses in Omagh so wouldn't feel comfortable suggesting or recommending any0
-
The age group I would be looking for would be 20+, were hoping to go somewhere where there will be a good selection of ladies, is Utopia the recommended spot and what time does it open to?
Does much go on in Omagh on a Sunday, are there any nice sites to see?
Thanks again to all who gave me some great feedback, I will let you know how I get on in Omagh.0 -
Get yourself to Rue then in the middle of the town. There are 3 bars there, owned by the same company and they are literally side by side: Bar Ten: The Ostlers Arms and Rue.
Theres a disco in Rue on the Saturday night as well, so you are time enough to hit there around 10:30 or 11:00pm.0
