Codes for Radio or best radio !

My pal has started a delivery driver job, but the radio in the van does not work as the person before him mucked up the code.


Is there any way to reset the code ?

And if not............

What is the best portable radio to have in the van ? he tried a basic one tuned into radio 1 but the reception varied so much driving around town it wasnt worth listening to. Would this problem stop if it was a digital radio ? Or would reception still be bad as he moved ?

Mmm if its a firms van he should be able to get the code
by phoning the main dealership and get the code as long
as it hasnt been changed from the default and check the
Vans handbook sometimes jotted in there.

If they do phone they must have the vehicles chassis number handy.

no its not written down anywhere, and it has been changed since the van was new, and the new code was entered wrongly. I should have stated that in the OP, thanks.

Disconnect the battery for 5mins to reset the code.

Will that reset it to factory default code ?

No but as you entered the new code wrongly it should start from there, if
not repeat the process and enter the original code.
