Pet mice

I was wondering if anyone could help, I'm going to buy some mice for DD but can't decide how many or what sex. I originally thought that 2 females would be good and then read that 3 would be best cos if anything happens to 1 then the other wouldn't be lonely. Would 3 be too much to start off with?
Any help would be appreciated

Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person to
use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.:D

Hi I had mice when I was young. Don't get 2 males as they will fight. 3 females are fine, providing the cage is big enough. As I recall they were fairly easily to look after and I loved them to bits. They don't last very long though - about 2 years!
