New credit card. Do I need to update 18866?

Hi people.

I've got a new credit card with the same 16 digit number as the old one but with new expiry date and security number (on the back).

It's the card I use to pay 18866 so do I need to update the expiry date/security number in my 18866 account to avoid payment problems?

Thanks.

  • I didnt update my internet account when my card changed and they couldnt collect a payment .So I would think ,yes you will need to update your details .

Or you could change to direct debit .
  • It's very easy to go to login with your phone number and 18866 account number go to personal details and change payment details.

I didn't update mine soon enough when I lost my card and 1899 blocked not only my 1899 account but all the sister company sites and it was very difficult getting the accounts back in order as when your blocked you can't give them the new card details which will work.
So make the changes now so they have the correct end date and security number that way you will stop falling into the catch 22 situation I was in.

    I would update the details.

I got an email from 18866 saying the expire date was about to expire!
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

  • Hi,
I had a similar problem with a credit card expired and Hotmail had decided it was 'junk mail' so I did not recieve the first notification.
What I have done is to change it so that it is 18866 is always notified when it arrives.
