Where did the thread re Comet go?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Probably got pulled for abuse
I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

Last thing I think I posted was a reply to dmg24 about Sony panels
Think it's safe to say the thread was degenerating into a "bash the OP" - I think the main (useful) points had been stated within the first 50 posts!

Think you mentioned about only buying Sony, I just replied that I used to be of the same mindset. But in these days of flat panels, there are only a few "joint-ventures" who make the panels (IIRC Sony are in cahoots with Sharp) so IMHO the big advantage Sony had (their tubes) is no longer such a strong point.
I can't think for a moment that those comments had the thread pulled though :rotfl:

I was writing a post in reply to the op suggesting I was presumptuous saying they had been there 2 hours with 2 separate quotes from their original letter saying they had been there 2 hours.0

Ah, understand.
My brand snobbery with regard to tv's is actually down to my Dad (my brand snobbery towards handbags is all my own!). The last tv I bought for myself was a Daewoo, cracking tv and lasted me five years. However, Dad upgrades his tv's on a yearly basis, so now I just get his (nearly new) hand me downs ...Gone ... or have I?0
