    Hi and welcome. :)

First off you need to phone one of the free debt charities (CCCS, CAB or debtline) they will give you very good non judgemental advice!

I'll get the links and numbers if no one posts in the meantime!
    :hello:
Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.

Right.. here's the links and numbers:
Your first port of call should be to contact one of the Debt Charities; see links below. Their services are free; they have no vested interest to serve; their advisors are professionally trained and the advice they give will be objective and in your best interests only.

CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000 Business Debt Line 0800 197 6026 CAB – Contact your local office and ask to speak to a Specialist Financial Advisor. Insolvency Service- 0845 602 9848

You will find them very helpful (I did :D) ... if they do recommend bankruptcy then there a lots of people here that will give you help and support and answer any questions you may have!

Hello and a very warm welcome.
First thing tomorow morn ring either cccs or your local cab and get legal advice. We will all help guide you through the process if you are advised to go bc.You really do need to get legal advice as it is one of the things that both the judge(at the bc hearing) and the OR ask. The other thing you can do is ring your local court and find out what system the operate. Some courts offer drop in bc, others you have to book in advance. Take a deep breath we have all been there and it's not the end of the world.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your babes i too have lost babies and suffered depression ect from it so understand how you feel.
We are a lovely bunch of people and will not judge you just support you every step of the way.

  • Hi there,
So sorry to hear about your babies, I have been through 3 MC and it is a terrible thing :-( (((HUGS)))
I am new to this, but I have to say that CCCS were amazing this morning when I rang them, they are so friendly and helpful and not judgemental at all.
Hope you can ring them tomorrow as I feel about a million times better just having rung them and having things straight in my head.
I also rang the local county court and hearing how friendly and helpful the lady there was made me feel a lot less nervous.
It is a scary thing, BR, but I know that with all the support there seems to be on here, and with the CCCS, that I will get through it and come out the other side, and so will you.

    Hi Karen,

First of all lots of <<HUGS>> to you honey & a warm welcome . The support here will help you realise that you are not alone & all debt problems can be sorted. Ring the debt charites (freephone numbers link - top of forum page) as soon as you can to talk through your options.

You are doing an amazing job bringing up your children & us Mums know how hard it really is!! The debt situation needs to be brought under control so you can go back to your priorities - looking after your children!

Read as much as you can & ask as many questions as you need...just by writing things down the cloud will start to lift & you will see the way forward.

If you do start to panic at any time then get a cuppa, few deep breaths & tell yourself that you can do it!

    Take care Sweetie,

    Hi Karen,

    Don`t be scared...be positive !!

I called CCCS & Nat Debtline...both were fantastic!! The main thing is that you are looking to resolve the problem head-on & believe me that counts for a lot. They will support & advise with guidance through the different options.

Knowledge is power & that means that the more you know, the more you can empower yourself to solve the problem.

Please let us know what happens...without knowing it you will help others who are reading but not brave enough to post... but are in similar position.

PS CCCS need apointment so book it (they are sooo busy) & you can do the debt remedy online. Also worth calling your local Citizens Advice, Debt Councellor ...my motto is speak to as many people as you can...great for confidence building!!

If your with BT get your number changed, its free and it removes at least one part of the stress (plus it frustrates the hell out of your creditors as they have to Write to you:p )
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(
  • hehe I might change my number before I go BR then so they dont all start calling asking why I havent paid them! Would love to annoy them given the hassle they have given me!!!

Believe it or not but we were all scared at first. It took me 2 weeks of picking up the phone and putting it back down before i actually dialed the number, then a few more attempts before i actually waited for someone to answer and that was for a IVA not bc.

I was only lay in bed last night thinking how much my life has changed for the better in the last 5 mths.

Be brave and take the bull by the horns and do it for your kids.

Please le me/us know how you get on today.DX
