How long should a horn last

on a VW Golf, the car is an 04 reg but was bought second hand from a VW dealer last year, surely the horn should last longer than 4 years, the car had a 3 month warranty which ran out in december,
Yeah i would of thought so too, i'm sure my J reg Golf still had the same horn from new :cool:
Have you got it working? fuse blown maybe?

VW and Audi Group is know as VAG...
It'l probably be the copper contacts on the back of the airbag that are poor. DIY with a soldering iron.0 -
get a multi meter,check to see if you are getting power to the actual horn,if not check the fuses.
it could be something as simple as a wire off at the horn.
maybe it isnt an original horn,and someone has fitted an aftermarket horn incorrectly?

Get a stebel nautilus horn to replace it

Seat Leons built from 2000 to 2006 have the same problem as the horn is mounted forward facing and water gets into the unit. When they refit a new part the horn should be fitted facing backwards.The man without a signature.0
