No printing labels, no waiting for the PO to price each letter and I just buy a top up supply when I need it.....at a discount as well!
Mr T
however you are providing no income to the po you use
be wary of biting the hand that feeds you
people in my delivery area are already feeling the bite of post office closures
we cover 2 postcodes,1 postcode will drop from 5 post offices to 2 very shortlysteviebabes wrote: »I use online postage on 'quiet' days or if the parcel is small enough to but in a postbox. It is pretty good but as others have said you have to do each label individually so if you have a lot it's not saving much time.
What gets me at post offices is they are always trying to sell third party services such as insurance or credit cards. This is usually when the queue is out of the door! I wish they would just get on with the business of posting. That reminds me Royal Mail keep asking me to fill in a survey.....
see above,po's are struggling with massive losses.0 -
I use online postage daily and can honestly say it is quick, easy and can be done whenever i have the time (day/evening).
If you are currently hand writing the packages then it is a lot easier and more professional as just need to type in name, house no, and postcode and the rest is done for you. I purchase A4 sheets of 4 per page labels from ebay to print the postage onto, so no problems.
Yes i have to stand in the queue to get my COP stamped, but my local po know me and never check the parcels etc, so it is quick and easy.
I have been known to go to my po with 30 parcels needing to be weighted and sorted with only one person serving, so you can imagine the queue when i had finished!
I would not put up with them serving somebody else in between me, i am a customer, have queued to the front and then it is my turn - well thats my view anyway!
Hope this helps0 -

I must echo custardy's concern about post offices. We had quite a few locally and we have now lost about half of them, the ones that remained were the ones that welcomed the ebayers and therefore took in lots more money over the counter. We are due another round now of closures and the campaigning has started, so if the ebayers using my local PO all decided en masse to go for online postage my PO would probably close down. Once they were closed we will either have to travel further to get our COPs stamped or just trust everything to a post box without any hope of a claim if it gets lost.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
