    I am renting (HA) and its about 35%. If I was to rent privately it would jump to just under 80%, therefore I would not be able to work, because I would be homeless!

    I can't vote in the poll as it does not account for my circumstances - I live in a shared ownership property.

    Mortgage = 15.5% of salary
    Rent = 11.7% of salary
    Service charge (not worth excluding this as it's part of my essential accommodation costs) = 4.2% of salary

    Total 31.4%.
