I didn't want to get the plastic one though!
There were 2 I liked (how sad am I?). One slightly bigger than the other but the smaller one was probably an inch and a half thick and looked really good. Think it was called a butchers board or something. But I bought the bigger cheaper one. I think I regret it now. :undecided
Looked at salt and pepper pots aswell but they felt a bit flimsy and lightweight for the price.
Also seen a TV stand like the one I liked which was £150, but this one is £70. Think I might get it on Monday!0 -

Oh, the impetuousness of youth. Some lessons cannot be taught, they can only be learnt.
Plastic ones don't blunt your knives, are more hygenic, and can be replaced when they get too cut up by the knives to keep really clean.
Please tell me the one you got isn't wooden. They are really only suitable for dairy products and bread, and certainly not raw meat. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Do you need a proper TV stand *ducks* I am planning on lobbing my TV on an el cheapo table from IKEA *ducks again* (for a tenner or less) I know that you love your new TV (just stroke the box until you move) but a proper stand isn't really an ESSENTIAL. I already have my el cheapo table but I am sure I got it for next to nowt.
Where did you get the chopping board from? you could always take back if you don't like it any more. I had the same issue with cutlery earlier this week. I got some from Argos on Sunday but then saw some on the Viners website (I love you for the saucepan thread) that were good value so took the Argos ones back. (and yes, I also got the gala saucepan set too from the Viners website)
Finally, I would get salt and pepper grinders rather than pots as freshly ground is nicer (and I think they look better too if you are looking to impress the laydeeeeeez).£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
