With the rising cost of oil I have finally persuaded Oh we should get a wood burner. He 'likes to see the flame' so ideally with a large door that can be opened. i want one with a flat top so I can have a kettle/pan on there.
There are so many around - it's hard to know where to start.
When my parents got them 30 or 40 years ago they were pretty new in this country and I think imported mostly from Scandinavia. Ours were Jotul.
Can any one recommend theirs! - or say if they have not been happy with it for any reason.
Many thanks

Everyone will have different opinions, but many leads in the industry consider Clearview (http://www.clearviewstoves.com) the best available.
I have a Clearview Pioneer 400, the smallest in the range, and find it fantastic.
However, their quality comes with a premium.
Hold your breathe if you don't know how much they cost, when asking.
Also remember to price in the cost of installation (parts and labour).0
