Sounds like you have had a pretty nasty time of it. :(
Anyone embarking on this journey needs to do so fully aware of what can happen. It isn't an easy ride and should be avoided at all costs.

    Agreed.

Although I would say "regarded as the option of last resort" rather than "avoided at all costs". There are many people for whom BR is the appropriate option for them to deal with their situation.

But this discussion has nothing to do with FrankSpentSir original topic/post. It's easy to get sidetracked into these discussions. :o

  • I, (like many) thought that after discharge with no IP assigned, I would be safe in dealing with the two creditors (IR/VAT(petitioner)) with a view to annulment - Oh how wrong, despite informing the OR that payments were being made (and they had proofs etc) , they allowed the automatic nomination of a Trustee who proceeded to insure the wrong property, correspond at the wrong address and a few other things for good measure.

Once a trustee is nominated then you have hells own trying to get rid of them, and of course unless you pay the fees then they will not allow the annulment to proceed.

A word of advice to all, keep every last bit of paper, you may need them in the event of wanting to apply for an annulment etc, and don't give up, you can fight the OR and IP, but you must be well prepared.
  • There's no doubting that all of this stirs up the emotions!

Am going to write my letter to the trustee this evening. Any suggestions on its content and form would be most welcome.

    Hi

How about doing a bulleted list of all that has happened in regards to the IPA with dates ect, photocopy any letters you have recieved. Then do each letter with a quote about the IS rules and staple them together. Basically a cataloge of each and every bit of corrospondence, with your bit/reason,opinions added.Dates and is rules also added.

    Was that confussing or what?
