Insurance Comparison websites: Changing accidents/claims?

I've been putting my details in the car insurance comparison websites that Martin suggested, but being the idiot I am have got the the month wrong on an accident. When I now go into insurer's websites directly to modify my details they are coming back with four claims when i only have 2! (Don't ask it's a Monday!) It's my fault entirely but the websites will only allow me to modify them rather than delete them, as they all talk to each other they keep coming up with the same results and my insurance quotes are through the roof! if you do want to change them they say you have to phone up customers services which I don't want to do with every insurer! Can anyone help please?

    Why not just start again?
  • I have started again including deleting previous quotes but many of the insurance companies have retained the same incorrect information about my accident. I'm guessing to prevent fraud?
