The Phantom PVR

does anybody know if this works well with Sky digibox and is there similar gadgets that work with dvd recorders- as my friend is hopeless at setting the program timer. I would like to use Freesat but don't want to buy a Sky box that contains a hard drive and then have to pay Sky £10 monthly just to use their programming facility. Thanks in advance.tweeter.

gavsto2005, I just want to use the Freesat option. I can't afford to take out an subscription, so I thought this would solve the problem my friend has with the vcr program timer as he's disabled, and I would'nt have to buy into an expensive sky+harddrive box. If you know of as well a similar gadget that works for dvd recorder great!.Thanks, tweeter.

    MR Skint and gavsto2005.

Ive just found out that they now make another model, Phantom Plus, which works for dvd recorders as well.So all you peeps who only have Sky digiboxs, you don't necessarily have to upgrade to expensive Sky+boxes with hard drives, you can use your vcr and dvd recorders, and still use Skys screen programming with this gadget.

It does sound tempting (though that might be because I love gadgets!)
