I thought that if your child already had older siblings in a school that gave them priority over a child that doesn'tI have just found out that from this september people on tax credits and IS etc can now apply free bus passes for their children's travel to and from school. Very welcome here as it is costing me £30 per week at mo for my four kids. On a different note getting children into secondary schools has got much harder this year my 4th child got turned down from both schools in area, one that my three other children go to and the one down the road- I even lost after appeals for both-she has to go to a different school from all her siblings in an area further away-and not a very good school at that!! What is the world coming to when a family's children get split up in where they go to schol?

Had I known what I know now I would have applied elsewhere. I
