i received my graduation pack this morning, and was dreading the cost of gown hire - i'd heard horror stories!
so i was pleasantly surprised to discover that the hire of my gown, cap and silks is less than £40, and to keep them for an extra week only costs a tenner(which will probably be necessary as my ceremony isnt until 5pm - what a stupid time! hows a girl supposed to get photos done
).
official photography was also cheaper than anticpated, starting at £26. wont be shelling out the £30 odd quid for a dvd of my 3 seconds on stage though!

Pretty much the same costs for mine
Tickets for the event are £12 each though, which is a bit of a ripoff for what actually happens! :rotfl:
I also won't be opting for the cheesy DVD at £35!
The Great Declutter Challenge - £8760 -
gown was 37 pounds, I think there is one central company doing it!0

When I graduated everyone in my house was conveniently graduating on a different day spread over a week, so we hired one gown between us for the whole week and it only cost us a tenner.0

Now that's student money saving! :money:"Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."
