Items paid for but nothing in paypal

I sold several items on ebay last night and most of them are showing as having been paid. When I press the link to view payment transaction I am just getting an error message and when I've looked on paypal there is no activity showing. Anyone else having problems today or is it just me? I was hoping to get out and get everything posted this morning:mad:

If it's not in paypal then you haven't been paid. Glitches might affect the click through from ebay, but it should not be affecting what you se ein your paypal account.

There is the possibility that the buyer paid to a wrong address, hence it showing as paid but not in your account, and you should be able to check that on the auction page as it will show the address it was paid to.

Actually what has happened is that all items are showing not as paid but as payment initiated and being processed through paypal. I've just had a message from one of the buyers asking how I wish to be paid as he tried to pay with a credit card through paypal but payment was returned. There are six items all the same. Any ideas what I can do?

I ha ve 2 showing the same, If it's the same as mine I think you will find they paid by e-check which would explain why the money is not in your account, but I think it should be showing in paypal as an uncleared payment, e-checks are like virtual checks and in UK take between 7 and 10 days to clear. If it isn't what I've just said, then I don't know what it could be.

The fact that 'card' is mentioned makes me wonder if you have a basic paypal account and not a premier one? Can you go and check, the premier one will mean that your payments are received less paypal fees.

If it isn't that then it must be something odd going on with paypal. I have had several payments in today without incident and have made my usual sweep of funds this evening, but sometimes ebay and paypal glitches are quite localised.

The mention of echeques doesn't quite explain the problem either as echeques will still show in the paypal account, but all that happens is that the actual monetary value doesn't appear in the total.

EDIT: One last thought, you haven't blocked echeques have you? Some people have managed to do that (I can't unfortunately) as thatwould also account for payment being returned.

I paid for an item yesterday and the seller has requested payment today but it has already been paid.

I checked I do have a premier account and as far as I know I haven't blocked any type of payment. I haven't sold anything for over a year, but I've bought several things, so I don't see why there should be any problems.

Progress; Another buyer contacted me and said at their end the payment was showing as cleared but that I was shown as unregistered. I have been on the phone to paypal and it transpires that because I changed my email address a few months ago the items are attached to that email address despite me doing nothing wrong. I had changed and confirmed email addresses with paypal and ebay, but apparently they automatically connected my old email addy with my home computer even though I had removed it .I was told to re-enter my old email onto my paypal account, (I stopped using it because spammers destroyed it for me), then wait for a confirmation email from paypal and to click on the confirmation link and then everything should go through. Should. They say they have sent a confirmation email but I haven't received it.
I have spent two precious hours tonight trying to sort this mess out and it is still not resolved. I had to ring their bloody 0870 number twice because my baby was crying and I've probably spent more money on the phone and definitely in valuable time than I bloody well made on ebay, twenty odd quid. !!!!!!, excuse me while I vent; AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
PAY!!!!INGPALGANGOF!!!!!!!!!!!INGUSELESSINCOMPETENT!!!!!YARSEHOLES.
Am now going to sit and cry for a bit.

You do realise that the confirmation email will be sent to your old email address dont you? Hopefully you still have access to this.
