Cahoot Transfers

Does anybody know if a can set up a monthly transfer from current a/c to savings a/c please? It always seems to be a one off.

Or would I have to set up a standing order?

Thanks

But, don't cahoot process standing order between your current a/c and cahoot saving a/c via BACS (i.e. it takes 3 days to transfer)? I had the same problem as Gambler, and this is what cahoot told me. So, I now set up one-off transfers for each month I want pay money into my savings account with them. Very annoying, and silly for an online bank.

  • and I have a natwest current a/c for £20 per week - saving for junior to go to NY next year!

When I set up the standing order I set it up for an indefinite period - if you do it on line it should ask you how long you want the standing order to remain in place.

Money goes out of my account on a monday and reaches my savings a/c on wednsday.

As far as I am aware if you are transferring between cahoot a/cs then provided the request goes through before 4.30pm (which I guess it should do if its automated!) then the transfer should be the same day.

if by 'deposit' account you mean savings account - then not strictly. You can, however, do one-off future dated payments to any account and payment can set these to leave on any 'convenient' date [say a Mon or Tues] rather than be on the same date every month [and therefore crossing weekend/bank holidays sometimes]. The only drawback of this is the time it takes to set up all these payments and that they seem to take a day longer [3 working days rather than 2] to arrive.

I'm planning on opening a cahoot account. Is it worth it? rpoints give you 1000 points for signing up through them. Does anyone know of a better deal?
