Poor Investment

Options
How is this for a poor investment? I recently found a Nationwide CashBuilder Share Pass Book that last saw the light of day in 1999. In December that year it was updated and contained £49.73. I’ve just taken it into the local branch, and in those intervening 8 years the total interest earned is £3.97.

Damn, still can’t retire then!

But if you leave it for a few thousand years...

Similar story on lots of the "super dooper" accounts at the time (and the Leeds "Liquid Gold" lol possibly even earlier) - fortunately these days we have t'internet to keep us up to date.

It still must be alright to find £50 that you may have forgotten about though from nearly 9 years ago.
