Sky-TV Via a PC

Has any one tried this out and if so which one did you think was the best?

I dont want to drag cables all over the house and would also like to access Sky whilst abroad so any help would be great.

Ok, where to start. There are numerous ways to get sky on your PC. Either via video input from your sky, or from internet channels that broadcast sky channels. Either way both are tricky, if you are thinking of broadcasting to yourself while abroad from your home pc, it isn't really going to work unless you have a really fast line, because your upload won't be fast enough to stream decent video to anywhere on the internet, nevermind an entirely different country! I also think you will find that quite a lot of countries aboard have Sky anyway!!!

Sorry what I should have said was has any one tried one of these sites that you can use to access SKY-TV whilst on-line via the internet ........ There are some that charge you £2.99 up to £19.99 and wondered if any one has ever used them.
Once again sorry for the confusion but it made sence when I wrote it ..... )))))

It's pretty useless if you want my honest opinion, picture and sound quality is degraded and not all channels can be received, and it's never guranteed. I advise don't go for it!

Any idea what Homeserve does? Plugging it into a wireless network would I get TV thru the PC?
