If it doesnt drip into the jug you havent clicked the jug into place right, mine does that sometimes too, if you just wiggke it and check when it is first running its fine

Yes.........I know that this normally causes this to happen. I've been making a pot of coffee every day for years, and this was the first time it happened. Since then,I've been triple checking when I put the jug back into place. I think I'll use this machine untill I find a decent model I like. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I bought 2 of these months ago and we use them in the office, one is not used daily but the other is on all day 5 days a week and we have had no problems. Did have to learn to wiggle the jug into the right place at first. At this price I'm buying a couple more for when we inevitably drop the jug!The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0

I apologise for trying to be helpful, although in your first post you do say that you didnt know what happened to it, I shall remember in future to read way between the lines.

So what kind of coffee machine is this?Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Target: £3500 (Masters degree course fees)

Been using our original one for over 2 months & not had any problems & if it does ever blow up im sure tesco will be getting an email from me followed by lots of "we are very sorry complimentry shopping vouchers!!" so dont see the problem really(unless you have to drive absoloute miles to get one. Also we must have different taste buds as its really nice coffee from it(depends on which sort you buy) friends love our coffee( i reckon whoever your sending out for coffee is popping down the pub with the money for a pint & then buying cheap old coffee , sticking it in the cofee jar & telling you they bought an espensive one!royalsteve wrote:the own brand tesco ones are crap....work colleague bought one for work....the french and italians laughed at it....coffee was rubbish even using ok stuff.....but dont like these coffee milkshake machines anyway....make a hell of a racket and blew up after 3 weeks use...utter garbage0 -

It's a filter machine.I apologise for trying to be helpful, although in your first post you do say that you didnt know what happened to it, I shall remember in future to read way between the lines.
Yes, sorry too. I wasn't very clear in my posts. I was confused as to why it happened second time in use. I'm normally so careful when putting the jug back in place. I know that this is the probable cause of my problem happening, but this is the first time it's happened to me in years. I'll just have to be a bit more careful with this machine.
The only other thing I'm not keen about with this machine is the built in filter. It's a pain having to wash out the grinds every morning. I was thinking of using filters with it(1X2 size). It's so much easier to just bin the filter with the grinds in, than having to wash them out every morning. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

lol, I think we have differant machines, but both from tesco's, my filter is not attached. However the whole jug thing seems a design fault with the jug, and although it doesnt happen everytime, sometimes I cant for the life of me get it to drip through.

I'm fairly new to filter machines as we have always used a cafetiere, can the machine really make that much differance to the taste of the coffee? (as said by royalsteve) I assumed it depended on the coffee, the amount you used and how you store it?0
