No problems with either of the two 6.81% fixed accounts I opened, one for myself one for my wife with £1 cheques. All seemed reasonably slick.

Just before I moved more money in on Monday I noticed they were now offering an identical account offering 6.88% so opened two of those, only took 5 mins, and were both working instantly and accepting transfers in even though the DD isn't set up. 0.07% only makes £49 difference but will buy a few beers. Have moved a thousand in and will probably move the balance in on Monday.

hmm must just be me then. I opened a normal esaver and a fixed rate bond, both with £1 cheques. I just want to get in and deposit a whole lot more. I may have to resort to writing to them, as calls don't get answered and emails get no response.

i havent got my account yet i have a account number and sent a cheque for £13800 but should have had only stuck £1 in?
