Wall mounted bath taps!!! Help please

Hi all,
I need to change my bath mixer tap and just bought some off ebay, not realising they were wall mounting only.
Plumber's been round but reckons there;s no way will be able to fit it on bath as taps already there are bath mounted. Just wondering if it's possible to tile over holes that will be left in bath if I go ahead and mount the tap on the wall?
Would really appreciate your advise as I don;t want to have to send tap back to Germany!
Hope this all makes sense, it barely does to me!!!

Ebay item number: 230243275082
MELANGEUR ROBINET MITIGEUR DE BAIGNOIRE STEGNER DESIGN (bath mixer tap, Stegner design)

bath tap holes you can cap over the holes with plastic caps i know you can get white and chrome but i dont know what colour your bath is,
if you look at kitchen sinks the monoblock kind, thats single tap hole.
you generally have a reversable sink so a cap to blank off the spare hole.
your plumber should know this.
just a thought0 -
You could use the bath tap stems from this type

to convert your new wall mounted taps to fix to the bath.A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
Hi
I was thinking the same thing.
Check the centres first. The wall mounted looks a bit closer together than the Victorian.?

I bought a tap from lidl that was wall mount. I approached a few sellers on ebay and found one that would sell the legs separately.
