I honestly thought that was a bit OTT, but hey it worked with much less messing about.

    Thank you

Now don't let him break the taps on your bath - that can be a difficult one!!

When we had the bathroom fitted, we have a small void behind the bath at the tap end, looks like part of the wall.

Means the services for the shower are all tucked in behind it & there is a little more room that usual to manover the bathtaps;)

The wall had a curve on it anyway & needed to be straightened, made sense to turn the bath round & have the taps & shower on that false bit. All tiled over looks like a flat flush straight wall;)

But still probably be bu99ers to get out:rotfl:

I just realised, you can use that vertically as well as horizontally.

Er ... yes - that was the intent;) You just put it over the nut ..... then use a tommy bar or similar across the bottom to get leverage. Watching your knuckles disappear every time it slips!

Plumbers have an amazing knack of getting them off .... some sort of trade secret they never pass on. Is the new joint watertight???
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

    Yeah its great thanks.

Our water pressure is not great & the modern funky taps are not ideal for any pressure less than very good.

But our new tap is a big improvement for water pressure than the old one.

I was expecting it to be worse, with having to come up & through the spout so far.
