Sorry for another post. Dont mean to spam or anything!!
Anyhow im looking for advice again please !
We had pup round today - he is sooo cute ! He slept mainly, borin sod. He wasnt bothered about our dogs. But our dogs are scared of him ! Not sure why? Our girl dog had a sniff, but our boy wont even go to him. He was havin a fuss and the pup sneaked upto his leg and he didnt know, as soon as he saw the pup he ran off.
He would not even drink milk off the plate when the pup was. Our girl dog eventually drank off the same plate as the puppy.
Puppy isnt bothered about our dogs which is good. He kept trying to bite my dressing gown :rotfl: hes goin be an handful i think !
Any replies are appreciated, thank you !

This is because your new pup smells of his past home and more importantly his momma. When my girl dog had pups her boy from her 1st litter ( whom we kept ) would not go near her for weeks even tho' she loves him to death ! I think it is something to do with !!!!!es defending their young and the pup probably smells of mad momma lady dog !! What you should have done before even bringing the pup in was to take some of the pups bedding from his first house and put it in your dogs beds so they could get used to his smell. What you can do now is keep swapping the bedding around so the smellls merge. Had to keep editing as it won't let me use the B!tch word0

BTW don't give the dogs or the pup milk unless you want them to get upset tums. Also feed the pup away from the adult dogs for now as they are territorial about food.0
