Repair power shower or new one?

Hi
I think the pump has gone on my power shower (no pumping sound and just a trickle of water). Is it worth getting it repaired or should I get a new one? If a repair is possible, how much is it likely to cost? (It's a fairly basic Triton model).

It's only about two years old, which is annoying as it's out of guarantee!

Thanks

I've emailed Triton's customer service to see how much it is likely to be to repair the shower. If it's more than £100 including labour I'll get a new one fitted.

as I see the cost of this model is around £200 and that's before labour.

There are cheaper and better models out there, depends on what Bar pressure you want.

When you say 'about 2 years old', is it over 2 years as Triton showers nearly always come with a 2 year guarantee as long as it is being installed and used for domestic use.

Their website says a year, so I haven't checked exactly. I've found the manual but must have filed the receipt, so it'll take a bit of digging to find it.

I'll see what they say at Triton tomorrow. It's in their interest to repair it too as I'll go elsewhere if it's too expensive.

I phoned Triton and they charge £98 for callout including repair. If I need a new shower there would only be the charge for the shower itself, so that seems the best way to do this. Trouble is they can't send someone until next Tuesday so we're all fighting for the bath here!
