AKA the "Credit Crunch"I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another, so please feel free to ignore this.0 -
Close it down and get a card that offers some form of benefit/incenctive to use it (eg. cashback).Best Regards,

Isn't a free or low LOB transfer a benefit then?0

Lots of people posting where the credit card companies are pro-actively reducing credit limits.
Only semi-concern I would have is if they place a search on your credit file in order to do this.
Reality is that a £ 1000 credit limit isn't a large amount of credit, so for whatever reason you've been scored low by Goldfish to begin with. You've transferred a balance (hopefully to take advantage of a 0% deal) and not used the card much since (I'm guessing). Result is they look at your behaviour and make a decision to reduce your credit limit.
In some ways you should thank them. If you've done a balance transfer at 0% then you shouldn't be spending on the card to begin with - the allocation of payment rules will catch you out and you'll pay a whack of interest.
If you've done the BT at a reduced rate you should setup your direct debit then put the card in a drawer and forget about it until the balance is to be repaid/transferred elsewhere.
Meanwhile, if you need a card for spending on, I'd recommend the HSBC 0% purchase card. Definitely not the card you've already used for a balance transfer unless the 0% period for purchases and balance transfer are exactly the same and at least 12 months."A child of five could understand this. Goldfish has also recently been taken over by Barclaycard.
This might have had an effect on your limit.0 -
