Don't forget to check one of the utility comparison sites mentioned in Martin's articles and guides to make sure you're getting the best deal.0

The tesco one seems pretty comprehensive, also whats to stop you going for the 2000 clubcard vouchers, then the next month moving to another company?0

The 2000 points are only available if you join Powergen0

I changed to Powergen and wish I hadn't. They've increased prices hugely since my switch and aren't that easy to deal with. With NPower I paid £70 per month, then changed and paid £62, now they want to increase my DD to £128 per month!!!!! After only 8 months with them I am £250 in arrears!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0

What a nightmare !.
I was in the same situation as yourself when in my last house I changed from British gas to Scottish Power and ended up in loads of arrears. Its was a viscous circle for me as I couldn't switch companies untill I paid off the arrears and while I was trying to save up to pay the arrears I was added to the debt by staying with the same company. :mad:0 -
I had the same with scottish power and went back to British GAs which is the best firm to go with.:ASexy_fufu:A0

I've had a lot of problems with Powergen but the online tarif (which anyone on this site can use by definition) for dual fuel is pretty much the cheapest out there acrss the UK as a whole. This is one reason there are so many complaints about them, they are the cheapest and lots of us went with that. There admin though is a nightmare.
Try this.
1. Check the start and end dates on your bills to make sure they run without overlaps.
2. Check the readings are correct. If estimated then phone/email the correct readings.
3. Check the discount is correct.
4. Last and most important, check the tarif is correct.
