    Depends I suppose, mine didnt charge me anything when I upgraded my standard alloys to 19" ones.

    Give them a ring and ask, you can always take your custom elsewhere, if you dont like the quote.

    If you mention that you have bought Thatcham Approved Locking Wheel nuts that should secure no charge from the imsurance Co.

    You could be naughty and not tell them and claim they came with the car in the event of an accident and them making a fuss, but in this case it helps if the rims are OEM and were provided as an option with that model of car. This is of course probably technically insurance fraud etc and you are advised to declare them though.

    Try ebay and searching for your brand of car and alloy.

    i put standard puegeot wheels on to girlfriends 206,she told the insurance company and it went up £12 for the year,this was with admiral.

    NO NO NO. Don't bother trying this. Insurance companies are not stupid and will have the means of finding out which alloys came with the car. Just saying 'oh they came with the car when I bought it,' is not an excuse and could make your insurance void.

    If it aint standard, declare it! No point taking a risk IMO!
