Breville party time ice cream maker

Just got one from a carboot sale boxed and unused, but without any instructions.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with recipes etc?

Thank you :D

I used to have the same sort of thing but made by Prima.I still have some of the recipes if you want them.I did find with the prima one that the dispenser bit was pretty useless. But as an ice cream maker it was great.I only got rid of mine because my lot loved homemade ice cream so much that I bought one with a built in freezer unit.

    Hiya,

I have the gaggia gelateria and I love it :D

The recipe I use is 200mls double cream, 200mls milk, and about 80g sugar. Just stick it all in and let the ice cream machine do the rest.

The sugar is to taste, so if you need to adjust it next time, do so. It's a delicious, plain ice cream. I don't have my manual with me at the moment, but that one is a good starter recipe :)

You could try Brevilles home page. There's a "contact" link at the bottom if you can't find a downloadable manual, or buy one separately.

  • hi here's some of the recipes for the breville partytime soft serve maker.....
    EASY VANILLA ICE CREAM
    300ml milk
    250ml double cream
    1/2 cup caster sugar
    pinch salt
    1/2 tsp vanilla essence

    freeze canister over night.
combine milk, cream & vanilla ess in 1 bowl. slowly add sugar while mixing, mix until sugar has dissolved. place in fridge until completely chilled (over night).
    attach all bits of machine.
pour mixture into canister with the whisk rotating and allow to churn and freeze for 20 mins approx.
WARNING my husband said it didn't work for him, didn't get passed the sloppy stage. I tried it and added some icing sugar to thicken it and it seemed to work BUT it is not in the manufacturers booklet to do that, I only did it because I'm an experimenter in the kitchen.
  • I have a cheapo ice cream maker (where you have to freeze the bowl) and always make the same vanilla ice cream. Years ago I saw this cook called Sue Kreitzman on Pebble Mill at one making it and it is lovely. It's fat free too! You just mix a pint of skimmed milk with 2oz of dried milk powder, sugar to taste (or Splenda but I don't like that) and the scrapings from a vanilla pod or some extract. Just churn it and it comes out like that Italian ice cream - really white - yum!
