Why would you want to change from BT's Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan to their Unlimited Weekend Plan? They cost the same.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

The £2.70 charge will be shown as a credit on your bill.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. hi heinz, the credit i have on my bill is £3.75 for ebilling and direct debit, it also says i am paying £14.45 for the weekend and eving calls paln with no other disconts in sight anywhere on my bill?
i have also sent an email to bt asking them about this so i will let you know when i hear anything from them but cheers also for yourr help heinz?:T0 -
My Mother's bill was showing a £2.94/month credit (£3.45 incl. VAT) and that's now changed to a £2.30/month credit (£2.70 incl. VAT). The reduced amount is from July 2008 in accordance with the changes BT announced back in February (or was it January?).
She only agreed to the 'renewable' 12 month contract when she changed from BT Together Option 1 (the Unlimited Weekend Plan) to the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. hi heinz, i have just had a reply to my email question about the free weekend and free evening calls whe i signed up for the 18 month contract with half price installation . the email is below.
I can confirm that you are registered for the Unlimited Evening and Weekend package. This tariff is £13.95 per month, this includes the paperless billing discount. This package is on an 18 month contract as you received a discount off your installation fee. No other discount is applied to your rental, I am sorry if you were not aware of this. You do receive your local and national calls at 0p per minute, for up to one hour, at evenings and weekends.
cheers,0 -
Pity. They give you the installation discount but won't give the calling plan discount. Makes sense.
Did you get the £62.50 (half price) discount or the £95 discount?
Whichever it was, you'll gain more than the £12 x £2.70 (£32.40) you'll have to pay so you're still well ahead overall.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market.
