I think thats a lovely thing to do.
Surely if your friend is very stressed with exams etc then it would bea welcome break no thavign to cook a meal
I say do it and if you have to explain to her why you've done it if shes shocked etc then jsut explain that you wanted to give her a hand because you knwo she has studying to do.
I would say though seeing as you havent known her very long to find out if there is allergys etc in her family if she has one! Last thign you want to do is turn up with a meal noone or someone cant eat for whatever reasonTime to find me again0 -
I think that's a great idea. I've taken meals round to people and it's been appreciated, a friend who had a member of the family in hospital, soup and a hm loaf, so that they could have a quick meal at whatever time. Another friend who had just had a second baby.... first babies need lots of 'stuff', but second ones you already have loads of stuff! New baby families tend to get lots of visitors, so cake is always nice, or a tin of hm biccies.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. I do it all the time an extra spud in the pot means a meal for a person on their own, a few slices of home made bread such a treat. A piece of a large cake never missed and a few buttered scones really appreciated. A bowl of haggis neeps and tatties for someone who's wife hates ro cook that can make his day. taffy0

Another suggeston would be to see if she would mind you taking the kids to the local park for an hour or two. She could use this time to revise or catch up with her cleaning. It is so hard to revise with kids running around !!!
I wouldn't mind at all if someone bought us a cooked meal. ((hugs)) you must be a very special friend.

I'm in the middle of exams too, trying to revise while looking after my 3yo isn't easy. If someone was kind enough to bring me a home cooked meal I'd certainly be very grateful!
It was fish finger sandwiches for dinner tonight... :sad:0 -
I take meals to friends and have had meals brought round. I usually phone up and say "I've made a double batch of shepherds pie - would you like some".0

Can you be my neighbour!!!!yup sounds good and reminds me of home ( canada). Some might be abit surprised but I always explain and say its a canadian thing....most of the time people are pleasantly surprised and have started a new tradition with my friends!
Kinda like the sugar and neighbour thing!

A really thoughtful plan. Depending on time of day would it be worth taking something that willlast until the following day just in case they have just eaten when you go round?
My neighbour brings us cakes and we leave her eggs as we have chickens. It is so nice to get home from a late finish at work to find fresh scones with jam and cream! Her coffee and walnut cake is also highly recommended.0 -

You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."
