How about going to be a small firms investigator for the FSA - based on the last ones to visit my company - they don't need any experience of doing mortgages, just an ability to say you're doing it wrong without actually telling you the way you should be doing it!!
Funny you say that, a firm near me had an FSA inspection last week. The owner told me that the FSA inspectors seemed to have a problem understanding some of the basic things such as the difference between fees and commission. A couple of times they had to look up FSA rules to show the inspectors to prove their point.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
