Oh, I dont know..
Initially it would be boring for 3-5 years. Being nosey and inquisitive - doing things like internal/external auditing could be quite interesting I believe.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. How about going to be a small firms investigator for the FSA - based on the last ones to visit my company - they don't need any experience of doing mortgages, just an ability to say you're doing it wrong without actually telling you the way you should be doing it!!0

Thank you all for your helpful contributions!
One last (hopefully) question if I may:
What qualifications/regulations does a non-IFA mortgage advisor need to be authorised to sell insurance related to mortgages?0 -
It will be the same cemap/cefa I believe.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. What then are the alternative careers in helping people with their finances? (not IFA as I studied insurance as part of a university course on risk and I found it very dull)
Thanks!

If I was you I would look at debt counselling. with the projected statistics for bankruptcies and repossessions you would not be short of work. Added to which the government is putting a load of money into the debt advice industry to gear it up for all the extra work its going to have to cope with.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Judging by the shear number of idiotic and incompetent brokers/packagers that I deal with on a daily basis, I can safely say that a lot of those idiots will be going out of business in the next year or so.
Don't be put off entering an industry if you think it's the rightmove for you. The survival of the fittest applies to any industry (people always want the best people). Become one of those and you'll do fine.0 -
