long story but here goes with shortend version my car was involved in a accident other driver was tottally to blame i have fully comp insurance so i have a loan car a offer has been made for my car which i have rejected but now the hire car company are saying because i have had a offer that they are taking the loan car back is that right even though the settlement hasnt been agreed

It probably is correct. Most policies will provide you with a car whilst:
a. yours is being repaired
b. until yours is declared a write-off
You might want to think about getting your insurers to send you the cheque for the value they have set on the car so you can buy another one whilst you settle your dispute with them. They should agree to this, as it is helping you to minimise (mitigate) your loss.In the beginning, the universe was created.
