Getting into business club lounges at Airports

Please can anybody help with some suggestions? I will be at Newark Airport for about 9 hours waiting for a connecting flight to the UK and need to work during that time. Does anybody know how to get a one day pass to gain entry to a business club lounge? I am traveling Continental and yes, if i paid business class tickets it comes free - but any suggestions?
Thanks

You can apparently pay a one off fee of US$45 to enter the President's Club lounge at EWR

Slightly OT; if you are a regular flyer and want to gain access to Priority Pass lounges then get an Amex Platinum Charge Card as one of the perks is a free Priority Pass along with Year-round travel insurance benefits for you, your family and 5 others. It helps off-set the £275 annual fee.

I use Newark fairly regularly when flying with Continental and often take the Airtrain (monorail) to Station P4. There they have the hotel shuttle buses. Most of the main hotels are located within about 3-4 miles of the airport, including Sheraton, Marriott, Holiday Inn, Hilton, etc. and I just take the bus to one and use their lounge to work. OK, I will normally get a beer or something, but it's often more relaxing and quieter than the airport lounges. If you need to plug in a laptop it can be difficult, but otherwise it's fine. Also, most of the hotel lounges have payphones nearby as well. I guess it really depends on what you need to do for your work. There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0
