just been to my local tesco and they wouldnt take any of my coupons. the young lad scanned them all but the till wouldnt let me use any. has anyone else had any problems????

The age old problem of the SA not pressing total on the till before attempting to scan coupons, none of them will work until that button is pressed.

Its usually a ploy by dishonest SAs who dont want to scan your coupons

If it happens again just politely ask them if they have pressed the total button, I bet they havent!

ive just done both mansfield tesco and all mine scanned with no probs!
  • just back from asda, they took the lot, £18.60 shop reduced to £9.80. young lad on the till said its 10% off, I whipped out asda coupon policy which he read and then scanned all my coupons, till beeped and it came up coupons exceeded, here we go I thought, he rings for supervisor she arrived looked at the till put her key in tapped a few keys everything ok she never said a word till lad said you know your stuff with a smile on his face, happy days

Now, that is interesting! Could you tell me with page & where can I print out their Asda coupon policy please. All along I thought they only accept 10% off using coupon on what I spent ie: spend £10 they will only accept £1 coupon. That is why I seldom go to Asda now.

Never being to OTL (out of my way). Mansfield T - coupons usually works. Try to look for younger S/A they are more helpful & willing than the older SA.
Some S/A are not bothered you give them the coupons they just scanned/key thru' with no problems or whatsoever.

    Hi all, sorry long one....

am quite new to couponing...just started a few weeks ago with tesco weekly shop...and got a few £ off...great, I thought. had to shop at asda today (was the nearest to where I had to pick DS up from)...this was the Tamworth asda...the SA started to scan the coupons..the first was a 'proper' one, she then put my first internet one thru', promptly a supevisor turned up and said 'asda don't accept internet coupons anymore'. She then made the SA cancel the internet coupon and said she was sure this was the policy allover the country!!

I was soo embarrased as I had a tired toddler with me and a queue had built up! and to top it all, the till didn't take off the correct discount for their 3 for 10 wine offer and the really snotty woman at CS made me trek all over the store to find a bottle of wine which didn't thru' (again) and finally a different one just returned the correct change....after 20 min of faffing about!!

tbh, I am fed up, I'll just shop at lidl/ aldi from now on...at least their prices are almost always cheaper so I don't have to stress about SA's and snotty CSs again and again...:(

i think no matter what if you hand coupons across and they take them or dont you deserve to be treated with a bit of respect, didnt you feel like just leaving the shopping and walking out?

I don't use asda for the same reason, and I did end up leaving the shopping and walking out.

I used £12 worth of MOCs at my local Asda a couple of days ago, there were a couple of internet coupons and the SA took the lot without a problem

    Xmas Saver!
I had to use an ASDA store today, as were up North, was the 1st one we came across, after driving round for an hr looking for a Tesco express (attached to petrol station0, only to be told it had been knocked down!!! wondered what the big gap and the rubble was...... So it was the bare essentials. Half of what we usually spend on weekly shop, and sods law 4got any money off coupons. So its raid the cupboards and the freezers, and a gd excuse to use to ds cooking menu as apparently you can put in ingredients and it gives you a meal. (just need it to cook for me!!) x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
