Tesco petrol strimer

Are petrol strimmers heavier than electric ones? Weight is an issue for me as I have a bad back.
We need a new strimmer as our electric one has a piece broken off (not bad for 8 years wear - longest we've ever kept one for).
I did buy a Flymo in Focus yesterday reduced to £21.99 but haven't used it yet so if the petrol is better I could return it and buy a petrol.
i have just picked mine up and assembled the handles and guard and i would say that the petrol strimmer is probably twice the weight of an electric one.
i forgot to mention when i picked up the strimmer the young lady that served me gave me a ticket for a free day out it can be used for Lego land and Alton towers places like that. it is one paying customer and one free.
so that could be handy.0 -
i have had a look on the tesco site since i bought my strimmer and they have now gone down to £40 a 50% discount.
i have also used the one that i bought and it put the electric obes to shame,
it is much more powerfull and does a much better job.0
