a question regarding car excess......

I just want to know, if my car excess is £500 and i had an accident, and it was my fault, the third party will claim off my insurance. Do i still need to pay the £500 excess towards there claim first, or does that only apply when claiming on my car?

Only applies to repairs / write off of your car.
Some commercial policies for vehicle fleets have an excess for third party property damage but this is rare, possibly non-existant for private motor policies.0
