Paid online surveys

I have recently received a lot of e-mails offering payment for doing online surveys, for a registration fee of course. I am thinking about doing it but would like to know if anyone has any experience in this field or warnings for me.
Sorry if this has been dealt with elsewhere, I did look but could not see any reference.
Thanks to anyone who replies, it will be really helpful.

You shouldn't have to pay a registration fee - they should be paying or rewarding you. I would steer clear of any which asked for money from you. Try some of the ones listed in this thread perhaps? :

If you can find a reputable company that REALLY deals with proper product research, then this can be a great area to work in. Unfortunately a lot of companies are more interested in consumer surveying - gathering general target information rather than specific comments on unreleased products - that's where the money lies.0

Here's a free paid surveys service. You do NOT have to pay. Of course, don't expect to get rich. And, not all survey companies pay in cash. They provide direct links - right to the free registration page of every company.

I got an email last week from one of the survey comapnies asking me to take a survey - they said it would take about 20 minutes to complete and for which I would be paid £1. That works out at £3 per hour or not much more than half the minimum wage - seems like a waste of time to me."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the

The other problem with them is that you get offered a survey, get excited, then go through a pre-selection process... and could be rejected... i.e., you waste your time.
I'm sure this encourages people to 'guess' the required response to get through it, get paid. Results then suffer?
I'm all for improving products through gathering opinions, but I think if you take the time to offer opinion, you should get the reward. I tend not to bother now...0 -
