What a complete and utter load of cr*p. Maybe we should send a question asking for an exact breakdown of what is in it. I'll only want it if it can be PROVEN that John Lennon's bugs are in that air. :rotfl: I can think of better ways to spend £905..............

  • Well exactly! I'd be a bit dubious about the 'all proceeds going to charity' line too...but maybe I'm just an old sceptic... ;)

I saw this one on the news the other day

    http://www.walesinabottle.com/

Sells for £24 a bottle, to expats apparently!

  • this is completly genuine, if you live in the north west watch granada reports on ITV at 6 o clock it is a regional news program, it is being sold after one of them saw a bottle of water from wigan pier for sale, so they bottled some air from studio 2 and tried to sell it, the winnig bidder also gets a prize of some sort.

To tell you the truth i think they are a bit suprised at how much money it has raised, and yes the money is going to charity

  • Well I guess thats a different kettle of fish then, if it is really going to charity then it can only be a good thing. However, the description and layout of the auction looks so amateurish! Thats what threw me, theres even a spelling mistake so it just doesnt look like its been set up by some TV bod! Lol...but I stand corrected :D

  • i agree that it does look a bit on the naff side, but apparantly someone else has been trying to sell the same thing and pass it off as the genuine artical, they had a warning on it on the news saying that that offical one is being sold buy fish fryer (where they got that name i'll never know)

  • yeah, i've seen the local Granada Reports, and they give you updates of how the auction is doing, so it is genuine.

the winning bidder will also win a visit to the studios.
  • thats sad why would you fork out a grand for air.....? i could fink of alot more things to spend a grand on....but the good thing is that it goes to charity if it gets there that is.....
