  • I got my 2 labradors in Jan this year and so far they have cost £10 a week to feed(not including treats and big bones),£25 a month to insure,£130 in new leads/collars/harness/whistles etc,£100 for beds and food bowls,£326 for an emergency vet bill on a sunday(before the insurance kicked in),£65 for a new hoover(the one I had couldnt take the dog hair and melted) and around £400 in loss or damage due them chewing everything in sight(I have no leather shoes left at the moment).
I wouldn,t be without them.I may have no decent shoes left but life is so much nicer with dogs in the house.

Oh yeah, I had to buy a new hoover too!

Luckily as mine was already a year old when I got him and he is only half lab he doesn't chew! But to be honest I couldn't get angry with him if he did :)
