Might be true. All it needs is for them to have risen more in the first part of the year than they have fallen in the latter part.0

The FT's house price data has a lag, as does the Land Registry data (2-3 months iirc). If you look back to Halifax/Nationwide data from Jan 08 (i.e. approx 3 months ago), they were also showing +4% year-on-year. Their latest data shows -1% YoY. Does that sound lilke a positive trend to you??0
