Hi all.
I've been using ebay since 2002, set up with paypal (verified) and have sold lots of itmes on ebay in the past..
I listed a few items last week, when I tried to revise one I got a message stating I had to become paypal verified to safeguard fraud etc.. strange, but did it anyway in my paypal account..
tried again to revise the item today and got the same message, gave the option to link ebay account to my paypal address.. this is already done!!
still cant revise the listing...
ARRGGHHHHH...
any ideas on what the problem might be anyone?
thanks!

Hi, just a quick thought. Do you have the same email address registered for your paypal/ebay accounts?

Well I got a reply.. doesn't really help me but explains why I was getting that message..With regard to this, please understand that at eBay we're committed to
keeping fraud and counterfeits off our site. eBay has introduced new
initiatives to ensure the safety of our members. These new initiatives
apply to every registered member on the site, so please don't feel that
we're singling you out.
One of these initiatives limits the amount of items reportedly most
favoured by counterfeiters that a seller can list in a given period of
time. The site will only allow each individual seller to list a certain
number of these items before placing a restriction on the seller's
account. If your account is restricted from listing further items, you
won't be able to revise your listings as the site will view the revised
listing as a new listing and block it.
There are also certain items that are further restricted. If you
inadvertently try to list a restricted item, an error message with
further information will pop up to let you know which restriction is
being breached. I'm afraid we don't share any further information about
specific restrictions. By revealing this information we could help
members intent on circumventing these initiatives to avoid detection.
Here are some of the restrictions in place:
1) You must verify your PayPal account and link it to your eBay account.
2) You must be registered for a period of time to sell certain items.
3) 1 & 3 day listings will no longer be available for certain types of
items.
4) Cross-border trade for certain types of items will be restricted.
5) The high volume listing of certain types of items will be restricted.

initiative, please copy this link into a new browser window:

Please understand that these initiatives are designed to protect all of
our members from fraud and counterfeits. We appreciate your
understanding and cooperation.
I realise that this may not be the answer that you'd anticipated, but I
hope that this information helps to clarify our position for you.
Kind regards,
