    Morning people!!

    It's Friday!!!! :D

Plan for today is a little spend (£1.15p) and then some petrol (£25) Mother is doing the food shop after work so I will pick up up and then cook dinner.

    Plan for the weekend is...

    - To find more things to Ebay (current item is doing really well :T )
    - To actually do some housework and make things look better
    - To not use my car unless I have to
    - I WILL NOT spend to much when out with best mate for her birthday on Sunday (I am buying lunch and that will be IT!!)
    - I will stick to my diet and lose loads of weight at weigh in.
    - I will think positive and remember i can fix the debt.
    - I will try to do some batch cooking for hm ready meals.

I think that's about it. I will strike them off when I achieve them, wish me luck for Sunday as it could be difficult.

    Hmmm

Just spoken to the post office abot renewing my car insurance and seeing what the best cost they could do is and they have come back with £32.81 with no deposit (currently £32.38 a month)

But Prudential will offer me £25.06 a month and with Quidco £75 cash back.... it's really a no brainer isn't it.

just going to check all the Pru stuff on their website and make sure that it is worth actually switching to them.

    Any advice?

  • Hi

I switched to Lloyd's TSB for our car insurance last year, at a saving of over £100 a year cf m old insurer. I went via quidco and got £90 cashback, but be warned - it took 5 months for the cashback to come through, so don't rely on it for imediate costs etc.

    HTH :D

just had a very strange phone call.

Back in Jan I had a couple of interviews for a new job (didn't ever hear back from them) and the woman who interview me has just called and asked if I would be interested in a Sale Team Leader role  Unfortunately I hate sales and things are much better where I am now, so I said not.

But it was all a little odd!!

Hopefully I will have my PCDR next week and look into getting but on some courses here and maybe see if they will train me as a surveyor. (fingers crossed!)

But that has thrown me a little. I have made the right desision I think, I don't like sales, so while it would be a pay rise, it's not right to do something you don't like right??

I think that as a DFW it's hard sometimes to do the right thing, not the most cost effective thing.

I think you made the right choice - happiness is more important than money (don't tell Martin I said that tho!)

    Good Morning!!

Ok. This is what I was going to do this weekend

    - To find more things to Ebay (current item is doing really well :T )
[STRIKE]- To actually do some housework and make things look better  [/STRIKE]
    - To not use my car unless I have to
[STRIKE]- I WILL NOT spend to much when out with best mate for her birthday on Sunday (I am buying lunch and that will be IT!!) [/STRIKE]
    - I will stick to my diet and lose loads of weight at weigh in.
[STRIKE]- I will think positive and remember i can fix the debt.[/STRIKE]
    - I will try to do some batch cooking for hm ready meals.

And I managed the striked items :o Must try harder!!

But my aim for today is to speak to the Post Office and cancel my car insurance and go with the cheaper Prudential one and get the £75 cash back  Even if it takes ages to arrive.

Pay Day tomorrow :T :D Which means I will be back into budgeting and undoing some of the cc damage I've done  But at least I have an action plan now and can deal with it.

I had a good day out with best mate yesterday, but she lied to me  She rang and said her and her OH were stuck in traffic so would be arriving at her Dad's late, when in actual fact they came down on Saturday night and went to the pub. Which is fine, but why lie to me yesterday  I don't get it and it's made me feel a little  and upset as I can't see the point in it. I've also upset on of my mates about it as he was telling me all this last night and thought I knew so he is now very embarassed.

So the question is do I raise it with her or just let is go?
