Morning Guys.
Well it's Monday and the hard work really starts here. There are road works on my normal route into work causing long jams, but I stuck with it this morning as the 'back' route was adding time, miles and cost to getting to the office. So I am hoping this will cut back on the petrol bill and if this morning was anything to go by it was quicker to!! Looks like they are nearly finished to.
I have no cash on me today, I have lunch from home (cheese salad) so I can't spend anything  I don't NEED to buy anything today and I am just going to keep busy tonight so I dont end up walking into town for an ice cream... not good for the cash flow or the diet!
Which will mean that today will be my first NSD in ages!! :T :j
Ninnins - I hear you with all of that. Now I am not sure if you were binning ideas or actually items, have you tried selling things on Ebay or Amazon? That way any extra cash you earn could go into a 'treat' pot for when you fancy spending on something? I would also start your own thread as you get loads of ideas, and then you can keep a daily update going to keep you on the straight and narrow.
I also think that avoiding the shops is a good idea, if I am not near them I can't spend in them. Well that's the idea anyway  Good Luck though and we will get there!
So I am off to get some work done, which is never easy when the sun is shining outside!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Right.
Just been looking at car insurance.
I am currently with the Post Office who have come up with a renewal of £35 a month (I currently pay then £32) which is obviously not good.
Now Prudential will offer me the same level of cover, same exess everything for £25 a month :T and if I go through Quidco I will get about £75 cash back :j. Just need to speak to the Post Office and sort that all out and I will be saving myself £120 a year!!!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Right I have made it through lunchtime and not spent anything!!!
Which means todays total is £0.00!!! So far.
Although as I only have about 80p on me there is not much spending which could be done.  I've decided to not visit the cash point until Thursday when I will need some money for my slimming class.
So I will see how far 80p gets me.
Just need to get through the afternoon and home and it will all be good.
I'm feeling very proud of myself so far today, it may not seem like much, but it's a big thing for me.
You never know I might even get round to listing something on Ebay later!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Just spoken to Mum. She is going to cook dinner tonight and is stopping the supermarket on the way home and will buy the stuff I need for lunch tomorrow (going to make Slimming World quiche!) which means I really will managed a NSD!!!!

Hi Lucy
If you decide NOT to renew with the Post Office, make sure that you do it in writing as well as over the phone. We had terrible trouble earlier this year with them over this. Had rung to cancel about 3 weeks before policy due to renew, took out insurance with new insurer, but Post Office still renewed their policy. Took weeks to get the money back.
VandaRight.

Cheers Vanda I will bare that one in mind and get everything in writing. I guess I could also cancel the direct debit that way they wouldn't be able to take the money!!
I have such a headache again today!! It's really not good, my head and neck hurt, at least I don't feel sick yet :rolleyes:Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Ok the feeling sick has started  head is still bad, but hey I've taken everything I can so I'm in suffer mode!
But I managed to list one thing on Ebay last night :T Which isn't much but it is a start. I have some yummy lunch with me today, brought from home. Mum got me a multi pack of d coke which I can take to work and will keep me going for a while and save me at least 85p a day!!
Aiming for a NSD here again today, and I will try to list one more thing on Ebay, I hate doing it so even if I only manage one thing a night it will be better than nothing.
Forgot to bring my car insurance paper work with me today so I can't call the Post Office and sort that out  But I will try and remember it tomorrow, or see when their lines close tonight and do it when I get home.
Other than that everything is ticking along ok at the moment, getting hungry but it is nearly lunchtime and I have managed to get loads of work done this morning.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Morning People!!
Well the one item i listed on Ebay is selling :T now lets just hope that more than one person want's it!!!
Oh and Mum and I were watching 'How to Look Good Naked' last night and Mum has talked me into applying for the next series  She thinks I could do with the confidence boost!!
So I will keep you posted on that one.
Spending is going good, or shall I say not spending, so I am pleased with that oneJust need to keep it up. There will be some spends today as I am going to my dance class later, but that will be £3 as I will only do one session and take a bottle of my own water as soft drinks there are SO expensive (£1.75 for a half od diet coke ) But that's it.
Hope everyone has a good day!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
