Credit cards in a pets name!!!

I've heard everything now... watching "OAPs on ASBOs" on Sky One and there is one guy who put his dog on the electoral register so he could apply for credit cards in the dogs name!

He managed to get something like 30+ cards and used the money to buy "expensive" brands at the local Sainsbury's and gave it away to the "old dears" who used to sit on the seats in the middle of town!

Unfortunately his dog has died so he no longer has any pets on the electoral register... but it isn't stopping him applying for the card invites he gets sent... apparently it is his form of revenge against the junk mail!

And the banks fall for this? :rotfl:

  • Was the dog in full time employment? I guess it wouldn't matter anyway. I am not aware of any Credit Card company that has contacted an employer to verify income.
  • I know someone who not only has a credit card in the dogs name, but a bank account too!!

Apparently, the dog missed a payment last month. It's owner asked how he felt about the £25 fee and loss of 0% introductory rate.

    "It's Rrrrrrrough", said the dog!
