If E7 is 7 hours thats 5.38 Kwh per hour. which I guess could be made up from a 3kw & 2*1.7kw heaters.
Which if that is the correct way to calculate it means they are a tad pricy to run.Connection is also not a problem as I am too an electrician.
Rather surprised that an electrician would not know that charging three storage heaters each night is expensive. If an electrician does not realise this, what chance do those with less electrical knowledge have? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
These are the people I contacted for a gas meter. United Utilities Gas Connections 498 Gorgie Road Edinburgh Midlothian EH11 3AF
Does that mean your gas is shipped by an IGT and you have to pay more for your gas due to it, compared to if if was national Grid Gas (Transco)? It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

The same thought occured to me last night! (Just didn't dare post it) :rotfl:
I have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.:cool:0 -

Fair cop. To be honest I rarely take any interest in utilities costs ever.A bit of a money saving newbee i guess. This one has caught me a bit as I was keeping the flat warm and aired during the cold spell. Just expected it to be cheaper to warm a 2bed flat on "Economy" 7 than heat and hot water a good size detached house with a family in it. More fool me!!!
Probably why no one has ever asked me to fit an economy 7 heater ever!
