It should tell you who made the application and in what name. If not, e-mail equifax and ask them, if you e-mail them now you will get a reply by tomorrow :)

Have you applied for any new credit cards recently? If you have can you remember which one?

If not you REALLY need to contact equifax and let them know but be careful as there is a chance that you will get enetered onto the CIFAS register (fraud register).

Even if you have done nothing wrong they may still add your address as a possible problem address and it causes all sorts of crap for future credit applications.

    Good luck

  • thanks for that - scary thought of being entered on CIFAS that could screw up stoozing . did apply for couple recently but they were declined but it shouldnt be them cos they didnt go live - and the above has a valid account number.

i guess i could do a £2 search and it will prob show fully on that

Do you have th ecredit watch gold with EQUIFAX? if so it will show you the same (if not more) as the £2 search?

If not you can get your online including credit score for £12.95 BUT REDUCED to £6.75 with th ediscount code. (i have it if you need it)

  • it was using Credit Watch Gold 30 Day Free Trial - but i cancelled it to ensure it was free last week.

terry and sue - i think youve towed yourself into the wrong section - there is a field nearby where you can query things camping - and electric hookup perhaps aswell
